Tembo House Hotel

Tembo house is architecturally a really cool hotel, with comfortable beds and 24 hour room service. It’s got multiple pools which were very clean, and a good breakfast service in the heart of stone town.

The location, rear entrance was right on the beach and also easy access to the town centre from the front entrance. It is pretty much next to the Freddy Mercury musesum. We stayed in room 27, a beautiful junior suite that looked over the ocean. We only ate breakfast there but the choice was plentyful & tasted great, they have a crepe & omelette station made fresh while you wait. We also liked that while the building was renovated to modern standards they had kept the style to an authentic tradition - big chunky futniture & doorways.

We had a wonderful stay at Tembo Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The rooms were comfortable, and clean, making it easy to relax after a long day. The service was excellent; the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request.The hotel’s location is perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation.

Exactly what we needed as a family. Brimming with character, great location on the beach. Loved the old building. Staff super friendly and helpful and best breakfasts we had on our whole trip! We had the family in room in the building just over the road - huge comfortable beds, quiet, spacious etc.
